The CNG-API (Applications Programming Interface) provides an open, Windows-based development framework for integrating third-party applications to the CNG-SAFE document management platform. To make the development task simple, the CNG-API includes a number of aids to assist programmers, including sample code.
CNG-API is built on the Microsoft .NET platform, allowing programmers to utilize the power of open connectivity to create system-wide interoperable paperless workflows. The CNG-API provides a set of program methods and classes that third-party developers, OEMs, VARs, or clients can use to create custom interfaces to increase user productivity.

The CNG-API is built on the Microsoft .NET platform and requires the Microsoft Windows Platform. It features a language-independent interface, allowing communication using Visual Basic, C#, C++, J#, and Jscript. In addition, the CNG-API allows creation of a custom user interface or use of the CNG user interface class
