Cabinet NG Releases CNG-Books 6.0, Delivers New Features and Incorporates Core Enhancements Introduced in CNG-SAFE 6.0

Small to medium business accounting moves a step closer to paperless document management

Huntsville, Alabama, April 28, 2008 – Cabinet NG, the preeminent automated document management and workflow solution for small enterprise businesses, today announced the general availability of its CNG-Books 6.0, the leading document management solution for Intuit’s QuickBooks®. This latest release of Cabinet NG’s award-winning software incorporates the .NET platform and Microsoft SQL database features recently introduced in CNG-SAFE 6.0 (the company’s highly scalable and robust CNG-SAFE® {Shared Access Filing Environment} document management and workflow software platform). CNG-Books 6.0 gives small to medium enterprises the ability to replace piles of paper with automated electronic workflows that streamline QuickBooks®-centric accounting tasks.

A key aspect of CNG-Books 6.0 is that it's built on the .NET platform that enables Windows-based applications to be easily integrated with other networked systems and perform at far greater transaction speeds. CNG-Books is designed specifically for Intuit's QuickBooks, streamlining data entry and document filing into one consistent and efficient electronic process, and works hand-in-glove with CNG-SAFE to unite QuickBooks transactions with business documents making filing, locating and sharing documents simple, seamless and secure.

Highlights of CNG-Books 6.0 new features include:

• Supporting multiple methods of bringing documents into CNG-Books. Users now have the option of scanning in documents, importing documents from any accessible external file directory, or opening documents already filed in the CNG-SAFE system; 
• Integration with CNG-SAFE security and retention policies for applying document access rights and/or retention periods from the CNG-Books entry screen;
• Support for QuickBooks Canada 2008 version; Users can now open transaction documents or generate a list of all documents filed in CNG-SAFE directly from within QuickBooks Canada 2008 for the desired transaction, customer or vendor;  
• Storing company setups in a central database. Company setups are now managed globally through Microsoft SQL to eliminate the need of manually setting up each users' PC;  
• Improving production performance by preloading account lists from QuickBooks during startup. Items and expenses can be immediately added by the user;
• Expanded integration with QuickBooks to facilitate creating Purchase Orders and applying payments to multiple invoices directly within CNG-Books.
