I believe the whole country knows of the disaster of Hurricane Katrina in Greater New Orleans area. Well, do we have a great disaster story! When we evacuate for storms, which is almost every year, and being almost a paperless environment, we always grab our server where all of our customers and clients are posted in Cabinet with their contact information and all their policies scanned into Cabinet.

When Hurricane Katrina hit, of course, we took our server with us when we evacuated to Panama City Beach, Florida. During the storm, our building was flooded but since we had our server and all our customer contact information with their policies in our Cabinet program, we were working within two days from the condo in Florida.

If we were not almost paperless, this would have taken weeks, if not months to make contact with all our clients and customers who sustained damage, since 80% of the city was flooded. We were able to get them policy numbers and contact information almost immediately.

We are better prepared today with an upgraded server and web backup of our management system. We would still be able to handle all our business in a very quick responsive manner.

Hurricane season lasts from June 1 - November 30th, a very long time, but we are ready thanks in part our Cabinet program.
